Bingo Cards
A bingo card is using to different games, which includes U.K. style Housie U.S. style Bingo. Cards are generally made of cardboards or non-reusable paper, but increasingly halls are starting to use computerized cards. Cards are printed in several styles with randomized numbers. As numbers is called, players either check off the boxes with a marker or pen, or use a dauber/daber to mark the box.
U.S. Style Cards- These are 5x5 square, with the columns labeled BINGO and with spots have numbers 1 to 75. The middle square usually a free spot and written as the word ‘free’ printed on it.
- B column have numbers 1 to 15
- I column have numbers 16 to 30
- N column have numbers 31 to 45
- G column have numbers 46 to 60
- O column have numbers 61 to 75
- There are about 16,396,380 different combinations of numbers available; so far the most anybody has made is 9000.
UK Style Cards- UK bingo, or housie, cards are generally called tickets and very much different from U.S. style cards. The cards contain nine columns and three rows. Each row contains four blank spaces and five numbers. Each column contains one, two or three number.
- 1 column have numbers 1 - 9
- 2 column have numbers 10 - 19
- 3 column have numbers 20 - 29
- 4 column have numbers 30 - 39
- 5 column have numbers 40 - 49
- 6 column have numbers 50 - 59
- 7 column have numbers 60 - 69
- 8 column have numbers 70 – 79
- 9 column have numbers 80 - 90
Other type of card-
Flimsies- flimsies is a type of cards printed on thin paper sheets. They are usually printed with three cards on one sheet, but also comes in other format like-
- 1 cards per sheet
- 2 cards per sheet
- 4 cards per sheet
- 6 cards per sheet
- 9 cards per sheet
A Flimsies cost $1, $2 per sheet and win on a flimsy on a ‘special’ game generally pays quite more rather than a win on a ‘regular’ game.
